Our Story
Snackspot started because of a blood test.
Sebastian is German. Brigita is Indonesian. They met in Berlin, fell in love, and when Brigita wanted to move home, they packed up and landed in Jakarta. Both of them are the active type — Brigita runs, Sebastian does CrossFit and Hyrox. Eating well wasn't a trend for them, it was just how they lived.
But here's the thing about Indonesia: finding snacks without a mountain of sugar is almost impossible. Sebastian — in true German fashion — reads every label. And every label told the same story. 25 grams of sugar. 30 grams. Even the "healthy" ones.
Then Brigita got diagnosed as prediabetic during a routine health check. She was young, fit, active — and her body was already struggling with sugar. That was the moment everything changed.
They started experimenting in the kitchen. Months of failed recipes. Batches that tasted like cardboard. Sweeteners that left a weird aftertaste. They tried everything.
The first product they actually sold was a batch of chocolate-covered pretzels. It sold out. But Sebastian and Brigita weren't happy with it — the taste wasn't where they wanted it. So they scrapped the whole thing and started over.
They traveled to Italy to learn from real chocolatiers — people who'd spent decades perfecting chocolate. They learned about tempering, about how to work with Maltitol so it actually tastes good, about the difference between making chocolate and making great chocolate.
They came back to Bali and rebuilt everything from scratch. New recipes. New processes. A real production facility in Kabupaten Badung. The result: premium roasted nuts covered in sugar-free chocolate that doesn't taste like a compromise.
What We Make
Dark chocolate covered almonds. Sugar-free. Less than 1 gram of sugar per serving. Made with Maltitol from natural plant starch — no aspartame, no sucralose, no artificial sweeteners. Every batch is halal certified, high in protein, and crafted by people who genuinely care about what goes into the bag.
